He is survived by: his mother Mary Emma Smithwick Porter; and his siblings, Sharon Porter Mitcham, Teresa Porter Preston, Martez Marie Porter Walters, Linda Porter Hernandez and Thurman Carlton Porter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
