He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Newton and Nellie Golda Morgan Stout; his siblings, Robert Newton and Charles Franklin; his brother-in-law Durward Boutte; and also Charles Franklin.
He is survived by: his children, Priscilla Day Stout Dale (John Dale) and Gene Morgan Stout, Jr.; his grandchildren, Clifford Palmer Rinehart (Sally Boyce Rinehart), Anne Elise Rinehart Manning (Walker Edward Manning) and Sophie Morgan Stout; his sister Helen Tyrone Whitley; and his nephews, Palmer Rinehart, Walker Manning, Charles, Warren, Rory Henderson, Ted Ward and Donnie Smith. He is also survived by sister in law, June Record Boutte, many nieces and nephews.
