She was predeceased by: her sisters, Barbara Jowers Howell and Bonnie Jowers Brunner. She is survived by: her spouse Alvin William; her children, Dianne and David; her husband Charles Simpson of College Station; her grandsons, Josh Simpson, Todd Simpson, Luke Simpson, William Simpson of Baton Rouge and Eric Owens of Bryan; her son-in-law Charles Taylor of College Station; and also David Gregg Simpson (Katie) of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by six grandsons and eight great-grandchildren.
