He was predeceased by: his parents, William Spencer Hopkins, Sr. (Bill) and Selma Lefkovits Hopkins; his stepmother Evelyn Hopkins; and his stepsister Tom Fore Phillips of Baton Rouge. He is survived by: his siblings, William Spencer Hopkins, Jr., Millicent Louise Hopkins of Baton Rouge and Emily Hopkins Brown (Mark) of Plano; his nephew Bryan Brown (Grace) of Kansas City; his stepsiblings, David Hall (Debbie), Dolly Cooper (Joe) of Baton Rouge, Sandra Shelton of Baton Rouge, Andrea Armstrong (Don) of Baton Rouge and Billie Claire of Baton Rouge; and his brothers, Louis Phillips (Yvette), Ben Phillips (Molly) and Tom Bryan Phillips. He is also survived by aunt and uncle, whom he lived with for a time during his college years; his cousins.
