It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence James Rabalais Sr. (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), born in Plaucheville, Louisiana, who passed away on March 28, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wives, Marlene Rabalais and Hortense Rabalais; his daughter Mary Rabalais; and his son-in-law Chris Fontenot. He is survived by: his children, Nina Fontenot, Nannette Gauthier, Laurie Ducote, Lawrence Rabalais and Jan Ponthier; his grandchildren, Madeline Rabalais, Brandon Ponthier and Dustin Ponthier; and his great grandchild Ella Ponthier. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
