It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Mae Popich Fazende (Belle Chasse, Louisiana), who passed away on March 13, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Fazende, Jr.; her parents, John Popich and Annie Ragas Popich; her brothers, John Popich and Joseph Popich; her brothers-in-law, Warren O'Brien and Charles Sketchler; her sister Annabelle O'Brien; and her son-in-law Fred Harris Fitzgerald, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, James Fazende III (Linda), Jamie Fitzgerald and Robin Zuvich (Matt); her siblings, Thomas Popich (Minnie Lee) and Gloria Sketchler; her sister-in-law Tommie Lou Popich; and her grandchildren, Joshua Fitzgerald (Tara), Jason Fitzgerald (Jessica), John Michael Fazende (Heather), Jenna Chapman (Carlin), Matthew Zuvich (Jennifer) and Jamie Ann Zuvich. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
