She was predeceased by: her parents, Rogers Joseph and Doris Joseph; her son Vernon Dorsey, Jr.; her parents-in-law, Ophelia and Henry Dorsey, Sr.; and her godfather Gus Phillips.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon Dorsey, Sr.; her daughters, Kieshan and Erica Dorsey; her daughter-in-law Phoebe Joseph Dorsey; her sisters, Agnellia Joseph, Caroline Richard and Aleda Joseph; her brother-in-law Michael Simon; her godmother Angella Keyes; and her godchildren, Edward Richard, Beasley Levy, Jr. and Kentrell Desira. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Israel Baptist Church (7104 LA-308, Belle Rose, LA 70341).
