With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vernon Dorsey Jr. of Belle Rose, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Vernon Dorsey, Sr. and Patricia Ann Dorsey; his wife Phoebe Joseph Dorsey; his daughter Jalisa Dorsey (Anthony); his sisters, Kieshan and Erica Dorsey; his grandchildren, Amarion and Amir Bell; his niece Karaneshia Ambrose; and his nephew Keyontae Dorsey. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Israel Baptist Church (7104 LA-308, Belle Rose, LA 70341).
