She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Briggs and Verlie Briggs; her husband Rev. Ellis Maxwell; her great grandchild Naomi Maxwell; and her siblings, Marcel Briggs, Morgan Briggs, Jerry Briggs and Joy Bryant.
She is survived by: her sons, Rev. Gary Ellis Maxwell (Sharon) and Rev. Bruce DeWayne Maxwell (Donna); her grandsons, Rev. Christopher Scott Maxwell (Marissa), Assistant District Attorney of Rapides Parish, Addiction Recovery Pastor and Mark Lance Maxwell; her great grandchildren, Ella, Miles, Joel, Cam, Maggie and Clara; her brother Rev. Leland Briggs (Bernell); and her brothers-in-law, Rev. Carroll Hammack (Barbara) and Leon Hammack (Joyce). She is also survived by her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends.
