With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Earl Gibson of Bossier City, Louisiana, born in Anniston, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2025 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayland Gibson and Elizabeth Earnestine Gibson (Harper); and his sister Gaylon Wyatt (Gibson). He is survived by: his wife Mickey L. Gibson; his sons, James Boyd Gibson, Dana and Gafe J. Gibson; his grandchildren, Shae Newton, Cody, Benjamin Gibson, Emily and Conner Gibson; his great grandchildren, Kynnedy, Caroline and Claire Newton; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Wyatt and Sammy Stevenson; and his sibling's children, Tracie Brown (Steven) and Keith Wyatt (Kim). He is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
