It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Murlin Whatley of Bossier City, Louisiana, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Kelly Carl and Meda Pearl Whatley; and his siblings, James Carl Whatley, Michael Whatley, Gerald Whatley and LaJuan Williams.

He is survived by : his wife Evette Whatley; his siblings, Lou Alice Hayes, Linda Giddens, Max Whatley (Linda) and Kermit Whatley; his children, Robert Whatley (Mimi), Rhonda Adams (Rick) and Donna Harbour (Stephen); his grandchildren, Aaron Adams (Dallas), Wesley Adams, Taylor Fielder (Nate), Pearson Harbour, Ty Whatley (Kamryn), Jessie Harbour and Peyton Whatley (Jacob Hunter); and his great grandchildren, Emory Fielder and Baby. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rose Neath Funeral Homes - Bossier City (2201 Airline Dr, Bossier City, LA 71111). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Central Assembly of God (700 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037). A burial was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Central Assembly of God Church, 700 Highway 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037 or Teen Challenge, 100 Meadowbrook Dr., Minden, LA 71055.
