In the vast expanse of eternity, Nettie Evelyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Nettie Evelyn farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kervin Ellender and Mary Ada Ellender; and her grandchildren, Emery and Aylin Schroeder. She is survived by: her children, Shawn Schroeder (Jennifer) and Shelly Schroeder.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Samart Funeral Home of Houma (635 Bayou Blue Rd, Houma, LA 70364). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Baton Rouge's Cat Haven in Nettie's name and memory.
