With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lionel Bernard Serpas Sr. of Braithwaite, Louisiana, born in Violet, Louisiana, who passed away on March 1, 2021 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by : his parents, Loisca B. Serpas and Clement J. Serpas; and his brothers, Clarence Serpas, Terrance Serpas, Lenny Serpas and Clement "Bobo" Serpas, Jr..

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Melerine Serpas; his children, Lionel Bernard Serpas, Jr. (Angela Loyacano Serpas) and Kimberly Serpas Gurtner (Stephen Matthew Gurtner); and his grandchildren, Lionel Bernard Serpas, III (Ashlyn), Lainy Ann Serpas and Stephen Matthew Gurtner, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
