We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2024, at the age of 78, Yvonne Batiste Mercier of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Francis Batiste and Bibiana Batiste; her husband Raymond Mercier; and her siblings, Eva Diggs, Alton Batiste, Sr. and Ernest Batiste, Sr..

She is survived by : her siblings, Vivian Lindsey (Roger Golbert) and Walter Batiste, Sr. (Mary); her brother-in-law Dr. George Diggs, Jr.; and her godchildren, Ashley Perrodin, Alton Batiste, Neal Batiste, James Mercier, Deena Simon and Bradford Landry. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 7:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A rosary was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (610 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery (610 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
