He was predeceased by : his son Jeffery; and his siblings, Welman, Wilbert, Lydia Beatty, Lloyd, Jeanette Comeaux, Shelby, Jr., Ervin Marino and Gracie Marino.

He is survived by : his friend Paul; his children, Shelby and Gwen; his grandchildren, Erica, Randi and Jeffery; his former life partner Patricia Melancon Ramagos; and his sister Bettie Pogue.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family to offset expenses.
