Francis Earl Patin Obituary
CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at a 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Francis Earl Patin, age 83, who passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro.
The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Mr. Patin was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro where he was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Bonne Mort Society. Mr. Patin was a veteran of the military having served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the U.S.S.
Princeton. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, fishing and going to Saints football games with his family. Survivors include two sons, Michael Earl Patin and his wife, Renee, of Lafayette and David Lee Patin and his wife, Julie, of Broussard; three daughters, Cheryl P. Louviere of Opelousas and Sondra Arnaud and her husband, Mike, and Kim Marie Patin all of Carencro; seven grandchildren, Kyle Patin, Lance Patin, Ellie Doyle, Brooke Lejeune and her husband, Jacob, Heather Orso and her husband, Brandon, Amy McClelland and her husband, Scott, Ryan Patin and Lacey Touchet; and two great grandchildren, Amryn McClelland and Austin Monte.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Nell Rose Patin; his parents, Columbia Patin and the former Lorena Guilbeaux; one brother, Harold Patin and his wife, Libby; and two sisters, Elaine Durham and her husband, Earl, and Iris Stelly and her husband, Robert, Sr.
