She was predeceased by: her husband Walt Higginbotham; her parents, Ravis Lavergne and Rowena Tate Lavergne; her sister Kay Burleigh (Kenneth); her nephews, Spence and Brady Courville; and her close friend Gene Martin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karliss Jo Daigle of Lafayette and Mindi Sue Daigle (Colt Seaba) of Mire; her stepson Toby Higginbotham (Karen) of Leonville; her grandchildren, Kaylie Jo Richard, Aubrey Higginbotham, Silas Seaba and Lucy Seaba; her siblings, Jodi Lavergne Courville (Jake Thibodeaux) and Sonny Lavergne (Michele) of Sunset; her goddaughter Angel Burleigh Guidry (John) of Sunset; and the father of her children Carlos Daigle. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
