He was predeceased by : his parents, Herman Fontenot and Etella Lafleur Fontenot. He is survived by : his wife Angela Cormier Fontenot of Carencro; his children, Holly Fontenot Palombo (Doug) of Lafayette, Michael Keith Fontenot, Jr. of Kearny, Nicholas Jake Fontenot of Carencro and Candie Fontenot Sutherland (Clayton) of Houston; his stepchildren, Nickolas Morvant of Breaux Bridge, Dylan Morvant of Opelousas and Charisse Morvant of Clarksville, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Alexis Fontenot, Audrey Palombo, Adele Palombo, Henri Sutherland, Ellis Sutherland and Truitt Sutherland; his stepgrandchildren, Mary Louise Morvant, Adalyn, Evariste Morvant, Amos Morant, Daylon Venable, Allyssa Venable, Gaylon Venable and Casper Venable; and his sisters, Pamela Fontenot of Opelousas and Shelley Richard (Matt) of Sunset. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 8:30 AM at the LaVille Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
