He was predeceased by: his father Alexon Benoit, Jr.; his brother Alex Joseph Benoit; and his granddaughters, Keyona Arceneaux and Essence Failis. He is survived by: his mother Wilma Pierre Benoit of Carencro; his children, Douglas Guidry of Lafayette, Jonathon Sampy (Dana) of Lafayette, Theron Sampy of Carencro, Demetria Arceneaux Perro (Ruben) of Lafayette, Stacia Arceneaux of Carencro and Shonna Sampy of Lafayette; and his sister Rachel Ledet. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
