It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph J. Buras Sr. (Chalmette, Louisiana), born in Pointe a la Hache, Louisiana, who passed away on April 16, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Cheri Buras Ragusa; his parents, Richard A. Buras and Elsie Martin Buras; and his siblings, Nora B. Hingle and Oliver J. Buras.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Butscher Buras; his children, Ralph J. "RJ" Buras (Rodney), Neal A. Buras (Anna Bessie), Daphne A. Buras and Richard S. Buras (Daffanie); his brother Richard "Dickie" Buras of Belle Chasse; his goddaughter Julie T. Buras; and his great grandchildren, Paul Ragusa, Clemson Buras, Louis Ragusa, Devan Kuylen, Adam Buras, Mariah Buras, Amber Buras and Jourdan Buras. He is also survived by his wife and children, he loved and adored his grandchildren.
