Etienne was predeceased by: children, Roderick Meche and Priscilla Chavis; son-in-law Daniel Guilbeau, Sr.; parents, Etienne Meche, Sr. and Rose Chachere Meche; siblings, John Meche, Thomas Meche, Sr. and Mary Julia Charlot; and sister-in-law Mary Gotch Meche.

Etienne is survived by: daughters, Barbara Chachere of Houston, TX and Antoinette; husbands, Mervin Williams, Jr. of Spring, TX. and Lee Richard of Lawtell; and sons, Bernard Meche of Mire and Wilbur Lorden of Lawtell.
