As Jimmy Lewis departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jimmy Lewis. Though Jimmy Lewis may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lamar Douglas and Gloria Jean Fitzgerald Douglas; and his brother-in-law W. L. Beavers. He is survived by: his siblings, James E Douglas (Mickie), Judith Beavers, Sally Ruth Scott (Richard) and Barbara Jean Francis (Lester); and his niece Jessica McDougald (Craig).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Riser Funeral Homes (7131 US-165, Columbia, LA 71418). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the Old Bethel Cemetery (1469 LA-547, Grayson, LA 71435).
