It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Mae Elmore (Cotton Valley, Louisiana), born in Evergreen, Louisiana, who passed away on June 15, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Will Sexton and Ever Sexton; her husband Ben Vowell; her daughter Linda Gail Vowell; her husband Dale Elmore; and her sisters, Lucille Sexton and Lois Cates.

She is survived by : her children, Lona Ewing (Vince), Gwen Dauphin (Jack) and Paul Vowell (Beth); and her brother Will Henry Sexton (Myra).
