She was predeceased by : her parents, Maudis Ferguson and Lodie Ferguson; her daughter Paula McKissack; and her grandsons, Brooks Thomas McKissack and Philip Bounds.

She is survived by : her pet Ditto; her children, Cheryl (Kevin Shrell), James McKissack (Rhonda Orr) and Jayce; her grandchildren, Tara McKissack (Robert Cole) and Josh Bounds; and her great grandchildren, Easton Cole, Jentry Jo Bounds, Farrah, Kaylee, River McKissack, Brooks McKissack and Lori Desadier. She is also survived by cousins and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home (233 E Carroll St, Coushatta, LA 71019).
