He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Route and Alma Route (Robertson); his sons, Jefferey Paul Route and Eugene Connelly; and his brothers, Clarence Route, Jr. and Everett Route.
He is survived by: his wife Mattie Route (Crain); his children, Brenda Route and Kyle Route (Shawn); and his siblings, Almetta Johnson of Warner Robins, GA, Veverly Route of Covington, LA, Gregory Route of Franklinton, LA and Larry Route of Covington, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
