He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Hobson Mothershead, Sr. and Rose Edwards Mothershead; his daughter Patricia G. Marmion; and his siblings, Lee Martin, Jack Mothershead and Doris Mules.

He is survived by : his spouse Vernie McLain Mothershead; his daughters, Brenda G. Willie (Joseph), Connie G. Sance (Steve), Sandra G. Stevens (Richard) and Bonnie Glass; his grandchildren, Bradley Willie, James Willie, Angel Rimes (Curt), David Sance, Chris Stevens (Amanda), Jessica Bolves (Andrew), Emma M. Moore (Matthew) and John Marmion (Kara); and his great grandchildren, David Cole Sance, Kaelyn Sance, Ashlyn Rimes, Savannah Rimes, Abygail Stevens, Brantley Bolves and Scarlet Stevens.

A wake was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433).
