We are sad to announce that on October 25, 2023, at the age of 60, Susan Forbes Hughes of Denham Springs, Louisiana, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Susan Forbes Hughes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her husband Donald "Donnie" Hughes; and her grandparents, Nolan, Donnis Jones Matherne, Willie and Bertha Sibley Forbes.

She is survived by : her mother Joyce Matherne Forbes; her children, Chrissa Hughes Phillips (Sammy Joe) and Donnie T. Hughes; her grandchildren, Raven Phillips, Bretlyn Phillips, Patrick Phillips and Christopher Phillips; her father George Rudolph "Rudy" Forbes; and her siblings, Donna Byers (Mack), Willie Forbes (Julia), Ben Forbes (Beth), Glenn Forbes (Stacey) and Alice Lafleur (Daniel). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, American Cancer Society, or American Heart Association.
