He was predeceased by : his son Shannon Wenger; his parents, Rev. John E. Wenger and Esther Wenger; and his siblings, James Wenger and Mary Orlans.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce Wenger; his children, Shane William Wenger (Charlotte) and Stacie Vaughn (Shawn); and his grandchildren, Megan, Collin, Lola and Pierson.
