He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Caruso Hood; his children, Thomas "Tom" Hood (Frankie), Gina Hood Diez (Clint) and Kirk Hood; his grandchildren, Bryan Hood (Ellie), Cody Hood, Taylor Diez (Carlos), Austin Hood (Rebecca), Jordan LaGrange (Jacob), Kassidy Hood, Isabella Hood, Gage Hood, Kameron Hood and Barbara Husser (Ben); his great grandchildren, Wesley, Wells Martin, Adeline, Laura, Mary Hood, Alyse, Abigail Hood Bailey, Brock Vreeland and LaGrange; and his siblings, Judy Melancon, Beth Daigle, Ann Dill, Jonnie Burt, Dana Newchurch (Tommy), Nell Lanoix (Randy), Rocky Hood (Sharon), Ben Hood, Robin Hood (Phyllis) and Kent Hood (Bridget).
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (818 W 10th St, Donaldsonville, LA 70346). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
