We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2021, at the age of 81, Maggie Lavine Walker (Donaldsonville, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. She was predeceased by : her husband Junior Walker; and her mother Clothilda Solete. She is survived by : her children, Maggie, Gwendolyn Naomi Williams (Ester), John Dorsey, Jr., Thasretta Dorsey-Nelson (Michael), Jacqueline Dorsey-Bell and Merial Alcee (Vernon); her father Andrew Williams; her step-father Lawrence Solete; her uncles, Rev. L. S. Randolph and Johnnie Randolph; her grandsons, Glenard Bell, Jr., Andrew Dorsey, Sr. (Peggy) and Reginald Dorsey; her adoptive daughter Benita Coso; her godchildren, Candice Millien and Burnell Harvin; her siblings, Yusuf Muhammad, Frances Croom, Ruby Curley, Vanessa Taylor and Iantha Gail Millien; and also Doris Johnson. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 18th 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 19th 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 19th 2021 at 11:00 AM at the God Ministries (430 Memorial Dr, Donaldsonville, LA 70346).
