He was predeceased by : his parents, Leo McKinney and Gertrude McKinney; his grandparents, Kelly, Alma Dominick and Elnora Riley; his mother-in-law Ida Harvey; his sister Elaine Jackson; and his siblings-in-law, Michael, Charles Harvey, Gail Allen, Ketrena Harvey, Beverly Green and Cathy Dempsey.

He is survived by : his wife Dianne H. McKinney; his sons, Leo Michael McKinney (Delacy) and Michael Kelly McKinney Jr. (Angel) of Gonzales, LA.; and his grandchildren, Amber, Makhi, Leah and Michael McKinney III.
