Oliver Brown Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Oliver Brown Jr. of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 11, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sons, William and Michael Brown; his parents, Ivory Mae and Oliver Brown, Sr.; his siblings, Ivory Joseph and Fred Brown; his grandson Jonathan Garrison; his parents-in-law, Stella and Vernon Millien, Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Vernon, Jr., Melvin, Raymond, Earl, Geek, Michael Millien and Mercedes Millien.
He is survived by: his wife Stella Millien Brown; his children, Oliver Brown, III (Carla), Richard Brown, Linda Turner (Edward), Loretta Brown Lewis and Sandra Joseph (Clarence, Jr.); his siblings, Leonard Brown and Lori Cushenberry (Bruce); his siblings-in-law, Harden Joseph, Tony Millien, Octover Southall (Maurice), Patricia Turner (Charles), Marie Millien, Rachel Gallon (Linden) and Iantha Gail Millen; and his aunt Rose Millien Nicholas. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church (421 St Patrick St, Donaldsonville, LA 70346).
