She was predeceased by : her parent Johnnie Matkin; her husband Luther Dewitt Sharbono, Sr.; her daughter Betty Ann Kennard; and her siblings, Clyde Matkin, Albert Patterson, Zelma Hillman, Thelma McCoy and Mary Matkin.

She is survived by : her daughters, Rita Giusti (Ernie) of Lafitte and Jackie Lewis (Gary) of Prospect; her stepdaughters, Rhonda Davis and Wanda Berry; her son Luther Sharbono, Jr. (Glenda) of Shreveport; and her brothers, James Matkin (Rose) of Dry Prong and Frank Matkin of Pineville. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
