He was predeceased by: his wife Irma Morgan Childs; his parents, Seth Childs and Pearl Childs; and his son-in-law Daniel K. Dendy. He is survived by: his daughter Mary C. "Jaye" Dendy; his grandchildren, Dwayne Dendy (Catherine), Nichelle Wallace (Ricky) and Jason Dendy (Rachel); and his sister Sybil Brown. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren.
