He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Melancon Thomassie; his parents, Euloge Thomassie and Virginia Thomassie; his siblings, Jeanette Silvio, Justin, Joseph, Leo and George Thomassie; and his great grandchild Hayli Guillory.
He is survived by: his brother Milton Thomassie; his daughters, Denise Bearden (Mike Phillips) and Melinda Marchand; his grandchildren, Kristian Yasko (Wanel), Heather Dry Hatzis (Nick), Kasey Marchand and Ali Dry Carter (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Destani Locke (Warren), Elizabeth Aucoin (Reese), Mila Hatzis, Alexandra Hatzis, Owen Carter and Stella Carter; and his great great grandchildren, Caydence, Riot, Millie, Sully and Ryder. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (44450 LA-429, St Amant, LA 70774). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
