She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Roger Brown; her son Eddie Dean Brown; her parents, Felix Briscoe and Beatrice Broussard; her grandsons, Jerome Roger Brown, Jr. and Marcus Wayne Brown; and her siblings, Michael Briscoe, Merrick Briscoe, Jewelle Briscoe, Junius Briscoe, Sidney Briscoe, Madelle Richard, Edith Pete, Geneva Jolivette and Vivian Malveaux.
She is survived by: her children, Jerome Roger Brown of Opelousas, John Gerald Brown (Leslie) of Opelousas and Jennifer Ellis of Houston; her daughter-in-law Vera Brown of Opelousas; her grandchildren, Brittany Babino, John Derek Brown, Megan Brown, Jaquira Brown, Morgan Brown, Alanna Romar (Matthew), Andrea Charles (Tranard), Valaniecia Coleman (Errick), Eddie Des Brown (Danielle), Angel Brown, Joseph Brown and Eryka Ellis; and her sister Ann Bourda. She is also survived by twenty-six great grandchildren.
