He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Barnes; his parents, Emmett A. Barnes, Sr. and Willie Mae Davis Selico; his grandparents, Eddie, Rosella Davis and Louise Barnes; and his brother Edward Barnes.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kathryn Veal and Willie "Joe" Barnes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
