He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Noel Gaines Sr. and Adele Dolores Gaines; his sister Marilyn Greenberry; his grandson Jayden Richard; his niece Tekara Gaines; and his mother-in-law Bernice Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Gaines; his children, Whitley Adams and Wayne Adams; his grandsons, Quentin Brown and Jayce Richards; and his siblings, Bevelyn Frank, Barbara Hicks (Willie) and Perry Gaines (Wanda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, and dear friends.
