It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarel Wiltz Birden (Gretna, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adlus Wiltz, Jr. and Maxine V. Wiltz; and her grandparents, James Lee Verdon, Sr., Louise Ela Palmer Verdon, Adlus Wiltz, Sr. and Lebora Clark Wiltz.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence Birden, Jr.; her daughter Maya Birden (Eric Hawkins, Sr.); her grandson Eric Hawkins, Jr.; and her siblings, Adlus Wiltz III (Sandra), Dave Wiltz (Monica Baker) and Deriohlin Charrise Wiltz. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
