He was predeceased by: his children, Karl Champagne Jr., Tony Champagne and Lin Ann Champagne; his parents, Claireville Champagne and Ruth M. Champagne; and his sisters, Janet Hildago and Sylvia Madere.

He is survived by: his wife Linda H. Champagne; his sons, Todd Champagne (Tae), Troy Champagne (Nicole), Scott Champagne (Tracy) and Dean Champagne; his grandchildren, Brittany, Brooke, Morgan, Emily and Annie; and his great grandchildren, Nova, Willow, Arlo and Graham.

Viewing was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church - Hahnville (1 Rectory Ln, Hahnville, LA 70057). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
