She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Vicaro and Josephine Latino Vicaro; her husband Frank Joseph Fontana Sr.; and her siblings, Evelyn Latino, Angelina Maurer, Tom Vicaro, Frances Cali, Johnny Vicaro, Mary Gerave, Rose Lamonica, Johanna Lay and Joseph "Baby Joe" Vicaro.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Simmons (John), Pat Fontana (Bobby), Sharon Maxwell (Morris), Debbie Fontana (Lindsey) and Frank Fontana (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Tiffany Smith (Kris), Jennifer Hayden (Levi), Jessica Meyers (Mark), Jacob Fontana (Hannah), Alaina Fontana, Ava Fontana and Abelena Fontana; and her great grandchildren, Emma Meyers, Austin Hayden, Gracee Hayden, Paisley Hayden, Mary Catherine Smith, Taylor Smith, Blake Smith and Magnolia Fontana. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home (2000 N Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA 70401). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
