She was predeceased by: her husband Murphy Moses Richard, Sr.; her parents, Paul Boudreaux and Ezar "Grace" Marcental Boudreaux; her grandson Heith Michael Ray; her half-brother John Lewis Boudreaux; and her caregiver Kaye Ryder (Jessie).
She is survived by: her children, Murphy Richard, Jr. (Lola Pearl Stelly) and Julia Dale (Peter Dale, Sr.) of Harahan; her grandchildren, Michelle Dale, Celeste Dale, Christine Dale, Peter "Pete" Dale, Jr. (Jennifer Davis), Chad Richard and Darrin Richard (Gloria Richard); her great grandchildren, Hunter Dale, Akira Bourgeois (Chad), Torrey Dale (Alyssa), Tatianna Dale, Paul Swancey, Gunner Kron, Heith Ray Dale, Aisling Richard, Jessica Richard Jennings (Robert), Zachary Richard and Grant Richard; her great great grandchildren, Aubrie, Josie, Bowen, Lennox and Noah Sky; and her caregivers, Sheila Chautin (Roger), Rita Pitre (Kenneth), Stephanie DeRosher, Becky Pujol, Leah, Jessica G. Basehart, Hannah Marcades, Jessica Moreau, Megan Starwood, Michelle Powell and Elein Beach.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4708 I-49 Frontage Rd, Opelousas, LA 70570). A rosary was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
