He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ivy Phillips and Pallie Phillips of Hodge, Louisiana.; his wife Linda Phillips of Winnfield; his children, Scott Phillips and Amy Phillips Johnston (Troy); his sisters, Carolyn Hooks (Mickey) and Frances Lamkin (Sam); his brother-in-law Ronald Porter (Margaret); his grandsons, Zachary Johnston (Anna) and Jacob Johnston (Allison); his great grandchildren, Gentry Tate, Lylah Kay Johnston and Molly-Frances Johnston; his siblings' children, Phillip Hightower (Tonia), Mark Hightower (Nancy), Randell Porter (Kim), Wade Hooks (Brooke), Michelle Chapman (Mike) and Damaris Crocker (Nick); his friend Mike Staples; his nephew Mike Chapman; his grandsons, Zach Johnston and Brody Johnston; and his friends, Jerry Robinson, Buddy Womack and James Reed.
