It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Merrell Tibbit formerly of Hodge, Louisiana, born in Ruston, Louisiana, who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Frank Henry Tibbit; and his parents, Jess "Taw" Willard Tibbit and Leola Smith Tibbit. He is survived by: his wife Edna Kay Johnson Tibbit; his daughters, Candice Darlene Boucher (Ronnie) and Tassa Jeannice Avara (Brian); his grandchildren, Courtney Megan Pennington (Jack), Whitney Paige Boucher (Durrell), Brier Drew Avara and Brent Francis Avara (Abigail); his great grandchildren, Brodie Mariana, Dani Magnolia Pennington, Demi Grey Desira, Luke Aaron, Ian Alexander and Samuel Joden Avara; his siblings, Jess Willard Junior Tibbit (Barbara) and Brenda Gayle Tibbit Quarles (Jerry); and his sister-in-law Shirley Ann Tibbit (Frank).
