He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Fakier and Mae Chauvin Fakier; his brothers, Billy, Bobby and Barry Fakier; and his grandchildren, Cameron, Elliott Fakier and Rebecca Claire Fakier.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gaidry Fakier; his children, Cathy LeBouef (Buff), Beth Deitchman (Marty), Michelle Pavlik (Rob), David (Laura) and Kenneth Fakier (Libby); his grandchildren, Christopher, Jeffrey LeBouef, Stephen (Kari), Allison Deitchman Cappelli (Alex), Edward, Mark Fakier (Mary Conly), Emma Claire, Brighton Fakier, William and Matthew Pavlik; and his great grandchildren, Lee, Max, Joe Deitchman and Scarlett Cappelli.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales Catholic (500 Goode St, Houma, LA 70360). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
