He was predeceased by: his parents, Anderson, Sr. Fontenot and Allia Demarest Fontenot; and his siblings, Louise Trahan, Ethel Rabey, Lawrence and Jerry Fontenot.
He is survived by: his wife Shawn Reed Fontenot of Evangeline; his children, Lolita Wittge of Jennings, Libby Ridenour of Muskogee, OK, Jamie Fontenot of Welsh and Scott Fontenot of Evangeline; and his siblings, Yvonne Murray, Jessie Romero, Debbie Fontenot, Thelma Cormier, Ronald Fontenot and Anderson Fontenot, Jr.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
