In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Betty May had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Betty May may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Xavier Soileau and Hilda Lavergne Soileau. She is survived by : her sons, Randy May (Darlene) of Iuka and Paul "Red" May; her husband Clarence Cormier, Sr.; her siblings, Irvin Soileau, Herbert Soileau and Earline Fontenot; her granddaughter Hannah May; and her great grandchild Parker Gary. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, & three great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Matthews and Son Funeral Home - Jennings (511 N Cutting Ave, Jennings, LA 70546). A rosary was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church (710 N State St, Jennings, LA 70546).
