Bobbie Trahan Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bobbie Trahan Smith of Jennings, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Trahan and Pearl Trahan; her husband Stanford Joseph Smith, Sr.; her sons, Lester James Smith and Anderson Paul, Sr.; and her siblings, Barbara Dopson, Sandra Trahan, Alice Trahan, Curtis "CJ" Trahan, Douglas Trahan and Leroy Trahan.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Heath (Marvin) and Stanford Smith, Jr. (Kelly); and her siblings, Berta Thibodeaux (Marshall) and Terry Thibodeaux (Margaret). She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Matthews Funeral Home - Jennings (511 N Cutting Ave, Jennings, LA 70546). A rosary will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (603 Main St, Gueydan, LA 70542). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at the Gueydan Cemetery.
