She is survived by : her husband Mallory J. Lessard of Jennings, LA; her children, Diondi Lessard (Trista), Lance Lessard and Kasie Lessard Nix (Troy); her grandchildren, Victoria Lessard, Chance Lessard, Hayden, Katie Lessard, Kaylin Wirtz, Payton Lessard, Taylen Nix, Drew Lessard and Tatum Nix; her great grandchildren, Luke and Linkyn Chamberlain; her godchildren, Thomas and Roann Rayburn; and her sisters, Carol Sue Johnson (Robert) and Markeitha Gary (Darryl).

“Kaye was the loving wife of my longtime Acadian Ambulance partner, Mally. She and her mother kept us well fed while we were at work, as well as when we were off duty. Her children, Diondi, Lance and Kasie were regular visitors to us at the Jennings ambulance station, and I was honored to be asked to serve as godfather for Kasie. I'm sorry that I was not around my special friend enough throughout the years Betty and I have been back in Welsh. God bless Kaye's loving husband, family, and friends.”
