He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ray and Theo Minerva Cockerham; and his siblings, Keith Cockerham and Betty Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sneed Cockerham; his children, Tim Cockerham (Julie) of Jonesboro, Millie Green, Dena Cockerham (Chanda) of Monroe and Amy Allen (Chuck) of Yonges Island, SC; his grandchildren, Sara Atwell (Brent), Katie Perot (Randy), Jessica Smith (John) and Charlie Allen (Crissy); his great grandchildren, Hunter Humphries, Emma Humphries, Eli Atwell, Casen Cockerham, Camden Cockerham, Shelby Perot, Brendan Perot, Gracee Perot, Zoye Smith, Gabi Smith, Amber Allen, Charlie Allen and Nathan Allen; and his siblings, Kenneth Cockerham, Benny Cockerham, Reba Sneed and Rajean Rainey.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's or the Salvation Army.
